Hey y'all! This week was really fun.

We have been doing a lot of finding and teaching.

On Tuesday I got to do exchanges with the Herritage Ward Elders who are Elder Murray and Thatcher. They work in a bike area. I got to be with Elder Thatcher for the day biking. It was a super fun day and we had tons of lessons. The main thing was biking to them haha.

We ended up finding a few people as well. It's pretty easy to talk to people on bikes haha. You can ride right up to them pretty quick.

On Wednesday morning Brother Perez who is the 2nd counselor in the bishopric gave us a ride to go do service at an older lady's home. We helped trim some trees down and pile all the wood. It was a pretty fun job. We had to use a super long chainsaw to cut the taller trees. Afterwards Brother Perez bought us breakfast tacos.

On Thursday night all our lessons and contacts fell through sadly. We did talk to a bunch of people though. We also got to teach Spanish class as well. The Texas San Antonio Mission provides Spanish classes to whoever wants to learn Spanish. So we got to teach Spanish which was super fun.

On Friday the Herritage Elders got a referral for a service opportunity to help a person take down a part of their house that was an extension but never got finished. When we all came to help, we ended up taking a bunch of trash and junk out first so we could start helping. We found a couple of cool things but one of the cooler things we found was a mini machete knife. Elder Murray asked about the knife and the person didn't want it so he gave it to him. We made a joke about It being “Laban's sword.” But the funny thing was shortly right after we got the machete, the Herritage Elders found 7 people and also were able to put someone on date for baptism. It was really amazing! We all joked about it being the machete so hence the reason for "Laban’s Lucky Machete."

Someone that we are teaching right now is Isabel. We have been teaching her for a while now and today we taught her the Plan of Salvation. It was really good and she told us she is believes the Book of Mormon is true. We are hoping to continue to build her testimony as we continue to teach her. She is an awesome person!

Well that's about it for my week. I hope that y’all are doing great! Have a good week! Happy 4th of July!!!

 6/21/21

Hey everyone! I hope your week has been going well.  This week was really amazing and there were lots of small miracles.  Our teaching pool has doubled so now we are teaching more people.

On Monday we met this person named Joe. He is the manager at a Taco Bell. We answered a few questions that he had and he began to become really interested. We met with him on Wednesday and he was really in interested. We have been working to help him learn more about the church. He is super awesome and willing to change.

We also have been doing a bit of street contacting this week. We visited a person who was taught by the missionaries a long time ago and he was super interested. His name is Jonny. He had lots of questions and wanted to learn more about us. We gave him a Book of Mormon and taught a mini-restoration lesson. He thought it all sounded good and made sense. We are going to meet with him again this week.

We also had dinner at the Base again this week and this person who is in training started talking to us. We answered a few of her questions and she began to become more interested. She asked how she could learn more and we gave her a Book of Mormon. We hope to meet with her again next week.

There was also this part member family called the Guardados that moved into the ward from Las Vegas. The son is the only member who recently got baptized. We have been visiting and helping this family a lot this week. On Tuesday we went and mowed their lawn.

We invited them to come to church and on Sunday they all came. They have really young kids and it's just the Dad that is with them all right now. We are going over there today to go and play some board games and teach the Restoration to them.

We went street contacting with a 14 year old in the ward. It was really fun and successful. We ended up giving a Book of Mormon out and the 14 year old loved it. We also helped move a few other members into the ward and on Friday evening we got a call from the Elders quorum asking us if we could help move a member in because the moving company just left and didn't finish the job. We drove over as soon as we could and helped unload everything. It worked out perfectly because our lessons for the night had just canceled just before.

This week has been so busy with finding and teaching along with zone conference. It's been so much fun and I know that because of our Faith we have been able to see so many of these miracles. My testimony keeps on growing each day and I know that our Heavenly Father loves each of us. I hope you all have a great week!

Hey y'all!

This week was really good. Not too much happened but we have been teaching a lot. On Monday we drove to Lytle Texas which is a small town but pretty cool. We taught a couple lessons to some of the people we are teaching. We also visited a referral we got. At first they didn't remember they requested a visit but we ended up talking more and saying a prayer with her. We are trying to set up another visit.

On Tuesday we made a small video with the youth about prayer at mutual. It was pretty fun and a lot of the youth loved getting involved in missionary work in whatever way they could. We hope to use them again in the future.

When we went to the air force base for dinner on Wednesday, there ended up being a fire in the store we were at in the base. So instead of getting Subway Elder and Sister Ray got little Cesar's pizza for everyone instead. It was really fun.

On Friday the mission had a devotional and one of the sister missionaries who served at the Joseph Smith History site in Palmyra talked about Joseph Smith and The translation of the Book of Mormon. It was really cool to learn about the history of that.

We also did exchanges with our zone leaders this week. I got to serve in the Adam's Hill Spanish area for the day. It was a lot of fun to be in a Spanish area again. Me and Elder Robinson were companions for the day and had lots of fun together. We had a couple of lessons in Spanish as well so it was really great to speak Spanish.

Well that's about all I have for this week. I hope you all are doing well. Talk to y'all again later!

Hey Everyone! This week was super good. It's been really fun serving here in Valley Hi so far. There have been a lot of opportunities to share the gospel with others.

On Tuesday this week we got to go and serve at the food bank. It was so fun! The last time I got to serve at the food bank was before Covid back in my first area in Buena Vista. It brought back a ton of memories.

On Wednesday we had our Zone Conference. About half the mission got together. We learned a lot about the Book of Mormon and the importance it has in our lives. We learned of the power of testimony it can give in helping us overcome the questions or trials we may have. We also got to go onto the air force base later that day and eat dinner with the air force trainees. It was super fun and we got to share a message after.

On Thursday we did some service for a member family helping them with their yard. We also got to help them set up a trampoline. We dropped of a Book of Mormon to one of the people we are teaching. We had district council as well. The senior couple that is in our district usually cooks lunch for everyone before as well so it was super fun.

On Friday we went on base for service at this house called the Fisher house. We helped take apart beds and move furniture so they could prepare to redo the house.

On top of everything else we have been teaching lots of people. We stay pretty busy and usually have a full day of things to do. I've been able to practice my Spanish a little more as well. In my area there are lots of Hispanics.

Well I hope that everyone is doing really good! I hope you all have a great week.
